At the heart of Speyside, this small village,
also known as Charlestown, is noted for its salmon fishing and shortbread
and its world-famous single malt whisky. Founded by John and James Grant,
and produced since the early 19th century at a local distillery. A packhorse
bridge, crossing the Lour burn, is probably the oldest structure in Aberlour
still standing.
