Ettrickvale is a small family run business
situated on the outskirts of Galashiels. There
are two twin rooms, both have en-suite
facilities and a double room with private

At the heart of the Borders, in the narrow valley
of the Gala Water, lies Galashiels. Lochcarron of Scotland Cashmere and Wool
Centre offers tours within the mill, and the Galashiels Museum
documents the history of the town. Once the home of the Lairds of Gala, Old
Gala House is also a museum and art gallery. Whilst Sir Walter Scott's
mansion, Abbotsford, is 3 miles east of the town. A week of ceremonies and
events, known as
Braw Lad's Gathering celebrates the town's history in late July.
