Duns law rises 714 feet above sea level, walkers
can also enjoy the trails on the Duns Castle Nature Reserve. There's also
free parking. For the historically curious, try the Jim Clark Museum,
devoted to the late world champion racing driver from Chirnside. Manderston
house is nearby, as is Crumstane Farm Park with its wide variety of animals
to look at. The Riding of the Bounds takes place in July, as part of the
Summer Festival, swiftly followed by the County Agricultural show in early
August. With its market square Duns has all the atmosphere of an old
Scottish burgh.
