Room facilities: Wi-Fi | Telephone | Non-smoking | Hairdryer | TV | Rooms from: £76 Mobility info: We would like to think that we have made some progress with regard to the Disability Discrimination Act, however a 17th Century Inn does not lend itself entirely to the afore-mentioned. Our staff here understand what is required from this and are very willing to deal with any person with a given disability. Access to the hotel is on the ground floor which is level throughout. Access via wheelchair is very straightforward, and with our new toilet - which is also wheelchair friendly - this is now being put to good use. All our guest bedrooms are located on the 1st floor to which there are 20 steps with handrails all the way. We do not have any specifically adapted bedrooms at present and no lift.
At the feet of the triple peaks of the Eildon
Hills, in the valley of the River Tweed lies Melrose. The ruined Abbey dates
from 1136 and is believed to be the final resting place of Robert the
Bruce's heart, and is also the starting point of St. Cuthbert's Way. Whilst
the adjacent Priorwood Garden specialises in plants suitable for dried
flower arranging, and also features an apple orchard walk with a picnic
area. The Trimontium Exhibition
documents the Roman occupation of Scotland.
