Elme Hall Hotel
69 Elm High Rd Wisbech PE14 0DQ
Situated within 3 acres of grounds, the Georgian style hotel has excellent facilities; a mix of luxury, standard and budget accommodtaion is available at Elme Hall Hotel.
Wisbech is said to feature some of the finest
examples of Georgian architecture anywhere in Britain and although it lies
several miles from the sea it is still classed as a port due to its
proximity to the River Nene. Peckover House dates back to the 18th century
and was donated to the National Trust in the 1940's. Incidentally Wisbech’s
most famous daughter, Octavia Hill helped to create the National Trust and
Wisbech's most famous son, Nicholas Breakspear was the only Englishman to
become the Pope (Adrian 1V).
