The
Raptor Foundation is a rescue centre and
lifecare hospital for injured & unwanted birds
of prey. We have over 200 birds, comprising over
40 species of hawks, eagles, vultures and owls.
We are open to the public throughout the year
(except Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Years
Day) from 10am. There are daily flying displays
& have an indoor flying area when the weather is
bad. There is a tearoom, gift shop, children's
play area and also a craft shop on site.
2008
admission prices are Adults £4.50 per adult,
£1.25 for ages 5-14, £1.00 for ages 2-4 and
under 2's are free. Concessionary admission
price for OAPs, wheelchair users and carer for
wheelchair user is £3.50. No smoking is allowed on site & no
pets (except Guide Dogs) are allowed.
For a
more personal visit, we can provide full-day &
half-day "meet the birds" & "hawk walk"
experiences on a one-to-one basis with one of
our experienced handlers where you will get a
chance to hold and even fly some of our birds.
We also run 5-day courses for anyone interested
in owning and flying birds of prey, again on an
individual basis. We also have 1/2 and full day
individual activities & run falconry courses.
In
addition, we also have 3-star self-catering
guest accommodation that is available for all
visitors to the area. There are 5 self-contained
accommodation units, sleeping 4 people and 1
house with 1 double bedroom & 2 single rooms.
All our units have a double bed, sofa bed,
colour TV, microwave, fridge and are central
heated, breakfast is available in our tearoom.
The cost of the accommodation units is £40 per
room per night and the house is £50 per night.
Linen is provided. Disabled access. Children
welcome. Non-smoking. Credit cards accepted.
There is also a small basic campsite, with
access to toilets & water, for a charge of £5

Abbots Ripton, approximately 2 miles west of the
A141 which provides access to Huntingdon. We offer
superb bed and breakfast accommodation. All rooms
are en-suite with TV hospitality tray radio/alarm
etc. Ample parking. Take advantage of our split
level restaurant able to accommodate up to 70
covers, and also suitable for functions and
weddings alike. Self catering chalet also
