seaside resort with a harbour and magnificent beaches. The shallow bay is
ideal for surfing and is surrounded by heavily-banded cliffs. Many ships
wrecked here in the past were regularly plundered by the locals! Whilst the
folk museum tells the story of Bude Canal, built in the 19th century.
