The Regent, a former sea captains house,
was converted to a hotel in 1926 by the
well known local Architect Frank Nicholls
and has been running continuously as such
ever since.
Today, The Regent is a family run
establishment offering high standard

like The Seal Sanctuary at Gweek and Paradise

The Terrace is just fifty yards from
Porthminster Beach. All rooms are en-suite and
have television and tea and coffee making
facilities. You can have a choice of having a
sea view or a view of our beautiful garden.
There are many things to do whilst on your stay
such as visiting Tate Gallery, taking a day out
to West Cornwall Golf club or having a stroll

This seaside resort lies to the north of Penzance
and is an ancient fishing port, where legend has it that was created
following the arrival of the Irish Saint Ia during the 5th century. The
Railway Age transformed the town into a pleasure ground for Victorian
holidaymakers and today the clifftop railway is an attraction in itself.
With its quaint alleys and old houses, St. Ives still possesses a timeless
quality. The church dates back to the 15th century and has a 120ft tower.
The surfing paradise of Porth Meor beach is a popular attraction. A branch
of the Tate Gallery was opened in St Ives and looks after the Barbara
Hepworth Museum and sculpture garden. The granite pyramid of Knill Steeple,
overlooks the resort. Meanwhile, the St. Ives feast incorporates one of the
few remaining examples of Cornish hurling.
