Nestling in a tranquil
elevated location against woodlands, Blenheim
Lodge boasts PANORAMIC views of Lake Windermere,
and the mountains and fells beyond. Built in
1868, our non-smoking guest house is reminiscent
of gracious residences of yesteryear:
individually appointed bedrooms are decorated
with Laura Ashley colours and soft furnishings,
many furnished with antique furniture, including
beautiful romantic antique Louis XV beds and
antique George IV four poster beds. The beds
have comfortable pocket sprung mattresses.
Bedrooms have en-suite or private facilities,
hospitality trays, remote control colour TVs and
access to hairdryers.
Our breakfast menu offers
quality local produce: handmade sausage and hand
cut bacon; vegetarian choices include oven-fresh
croissants and delectable muffins. The guest
lounge has Lakeland views. Blenheim Lodge is
only 5 minutes' walk from Bowness town, Lake
Windermere and the pier. Walkers will find us an
ideal location: ours is the first guest house in
Bowness off the Dales Way - literally a minute's
walk from our front door! We offer 2 free WAADA
fishing permits (first come first served).
Private parking available for cars, cyclists and
bikers. Facilities for cyclists and bikers
include outside taps for boots and a drying room
for damp gear. We can also arrange golfing,
sailing, guided walks and tours, and offer free
membership to a private country club 7 minutes'
walk away. Relax with quality service and that
extra personal touch! We even arrange flowers,
champagne and luxury chocolate truffles for that

Beechwood Guest House
in Bowness is an atmospheric house built circa
1900, in the traditional Lakeland style.
Beechwood is 4 Star rated with a coveted Gold
Award, currently one of only a few guest houses
in Bowness on Windermere with a Gold Award.
Superbly situated in Bowness on Windermere, set
back from the main road yet ideally located for
all local amenities such as Bistros, shops,
restaurants and pubs and local attractions.
Private parking available for all guests as is
safe storage for Mountain Bikes. Drying
facilities for wet walking gear also available.
Beechwood is just a 5 minute stroll from the
esplanade and Windermere lake ferry services
where you can travel by boat to Ambleside to the
North or Lakeside to the South, or take the
island cruise around the many islands on Lake
Windermere.
All bedrooms are
spacious and individually decorated to a high
standard, the bedrooms have King Size beds with
one room being a Standard Double. Each bedroom
is en-suite with the exception of one which has
its own Private Facilities. Bedrooms are
equipped with Colour TV and Video/DVD
(complimentary video/DVD library) CD Player,
Clock Radio, Hair Dryers, Ironing Facilities and
Complimentary Beverage Trays.
The private Leisure
Facilities at Windermere Manor Hotel include an
indoor heated Pool, Solarium, Sauna and Gym
which is fully equipped and are available free
of charge to all Beechwood guests. For the
comfort & safety of all our guests Beechwood is

Fair Rigg a simple, traditional bed and
breakfast guest house in Bowness-on-Windermere,
The house enjoys a country setting, and yet
remains within easy walking distance of Bowness
and the shore of Lake Windermere. Designed to
take full advantage of its hillside location,
the house has fine views, with most rooms
looking out over fields and trees to the lake
and fells beyond. Fair Rigg has 6 bedrooms, each
room is individually decorated and furnished in
carefully co-ordinated style, with comfortable
