excellent base for exploring Hadrian's Wall and
the Roman Forts. Abberley House is just ¼ mile
from Hadrian's Wall Path.

Farmhouse accommodation
on the Reivers Cycle Route where a delivery and
pick up service to and from the local hostelry
can be provided. Oak Tree Farm is a working
farm, set in very peaceful open countryside,
with panoramic views to the Cumberland Wastes
and Solway Plain.

from the hustle and bustle of everyday life -
yet all local holiday attractions from Hadrian's
Wall, The Lake District, Kielder Water & Forest
Park, Solway Coast, Gretna and South West
Scotland, market town of Brampton and the
regional shopping centre of Carlisle can be
easily reached from the farm’s central location.
A delicious cooked breakfast with eggs from the
farm's own free range hens is included and
Evening meals are available with prior notice. A
non-smoking policy applies throughout.
Unfortunately it isn't possible to accommodate
pets in the farmhouse but suitable sleeping
quarters can be provided in the tack room.

The Ginney is located on
the edge of the peaceful village of Catterlen,
JUST OFF J41 OF THE M6. Set in the
beautiful Eden Valley, close to medieval
Hutton-in-the-Forest, home of Lord and Lady
Inglewood, easily reached from all UK major
routes, making this an ideal base from which to
explore the Lake District, or passing to and
from Scotland. Visits to Carlisle are only 20
minutes by road (M6).
Built in the 1700's from
local stone with original oak beams and an open
fireplace, make for a warm and inviting ambience,
or sit out and enjoy the view over Penrith from
the patio. Breakfast is served in the Gincase/Guests
