The Lake District National Park covers almost 900 square
miles, with at least 16 ‘great’ lakes, tarns, valleys,
villages and even beaches! Home to England’s five
highest mountains and the UK’s deepest lake.
Eeabank Lodge offers first class bed &
breakfast accommodation in an unspoilt
rural location close to some of the areas
most popular attractions.
This was formerly an old coaching house
and has great charm and character having
been built circa 1760, but with part
possibly 16th century.
There are five rooms,
four being en-suite and one with a private
bathroom. Each room has a TV/DVD combo
television, hospitality tray and a hair dryer.
There is an iron and ironing board available.
Internet access including the use of printer and
photocopier. There are 2 en-suite family rooms,
with a double bed and twin or bunk beds, very
spacious and can accommodate a family of four or
three adults. Ground floor room available.
Breakfast is included whilst a range of home
cooked evening meals are available on request.
Special diets can be catered for with prior
notification. Packed lunches also available.
Alternatively there are two pubs within walking
distance serving meals. Guests can relax in the
comfortable Lounge Bar for a drink or watch
television. Local attractions include Cartmel
steeple chase horse race meetings, and historic
Priory. Within 30 minutes are Lakeside and
Haverthwaite Railway, Furness Abbey, Colony
Candles, Barrow Dock Museum, Laurel and Hardy
Museum, Windermere Lake Cruises, and parachute
centre at Cark Airfield. Special price golf

Lymehurst Hotel, in the
centre of Grange-over-Sands retains much of its

Lymehurst is licensed and
fully non-smoking. Pets welcome by prior
arrangement. There is ample car parking. Bedrooms are en-suite with television,
hairdryer, and tea/coffee making facilities. Lymestone restaurant is situated on the lower
ground floor of the Lymehurst hotel. Here you
can enjoy lunch and dinner prepared from the
finest local ingredients by Master Chef of Great
Britain Kevin Wyper and his team. The Lake
District National Park, with Coniston and
Windermere is only a short drive away. Lymehurst

medieval village of Cartmel and historic

The Cavendish Arms is a 450 year old coaching inn. It is one of the oldest buildings in Cartmel and is situated within the old village walls. You can still see the old mounting block dated 1837 outside the main door. Its age can be sometimes measured Painfully by the low

A Victorian-style seaside resort with a mile-long
promenade. Cartmel Priory, is one of the few English monastic churches to
survive the Reformation, features carved choir stalls, a 15th century
stained glass window and a tall belfry. Two miles north, at
Lindale-in-Cartmel, an iron monument dedicated to John Wilkinson stands. He
spent his youth here and later built the world’s first iron bridge, with
