Greenbank Farm which provides farmhouse bed and
breakfast is a working hill farm set amongst
magnificent scenery, a relaxing haven for
walkers or those touring by car. Convenient
accommodation for those on the Coast to Coast or
Westmoreland Way walks. The lounge/dining room
has oak beam ceilings, a log fire when needed and
tea/coffee making facilities. Hearty breakfasts
served from 7am onwards and packed lunches are
available. Dinner by arrangement £10 (48 hrs
notice required). A non smoking establishment
and no dogs allowed. A warm and friendly welcome

Brookfield House
provides comfortable bed and breakfast
accommodation which is centrally heated
throughout. The en-suite bedrooms are all
extremely well appointed with remote control
colour TV's, Radio Alarms, Hospitality Trays,
Hair Dryers etc.
The location is ideally placed for accessing the
lake District with Hewaswater, Ullswater,
Windermere and Derwent Water all within easy
driving distance and where you will find boat
trips, boat hire and fishing, together with other
activities. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is
only a stones throw away. Coast to Coast and
Westmoreland Way very welcome. Brookfield House
has a comfortable, relaxing Residents Lounge as
well as a well-stocked bar. A Non-smoking policy
applies throughout and we do not take pets and,
unfortunately we do not have facilities for
children under 12 years. The accommodation is AA 4
Star rated.
Greystoke is a
picturesque village built around a green,
boasting its own castle built in 1353 and
occupied by the same family, the Howard's, since
Elizabethan times. The village is also the home
of the late Gordon Richards horseracing stables
and you can still see the horses being led out.
There is a village shop and
an 18th century coaching inn to partake in some
much needed refreshments. The lodges sleep up to
15 people, 4-5 in Blencathra Lodge and 10 people
in Pennine Lodge. The Pennine Lodge has a double
bedroom with its own wet rooms and WC. Both
bedrooms have fully fitted kitchens, and drying
rooms, lockers are also available. Various
cereals, bread, butter and jams are provided, as
well as your bed linen and towels. In the main
house there are two double bedrooms (one of
which is en-suite) and one twin room. The rooms
have tea and coffee making facilities with
towels and robes, also TV, DVD, Hairdryer and
fan. On the top floor is a very comfortable
guest's lounge for you to relax after a very
busy day.
