The sandy beach at Haverigg is within 9 miles and other local attractions include Windermere Ravenglass and Eskdale railway and Muncaster Castle.

Tucked away in the heart of the Duddon Valley one of the Lake District National Park's most picturesque valleys these three delightful stone built cottages next door to the owners' home are brimming with character and charm. Set in a tranquil and picturesque hamlet the cottages nestle into the sloping gardens enabling each cottage to be on one level. They are bordered by a beck and have access to over 6 acres of lovely woodland. The area is a walker's paradise where wildlife abounds. Broughton-in-Furness (4 miles) has good pubs and shops. Sailing and boat trips can be enjoyed on Lake Coniston (15 miles) and Lake Windermere (20 miles) and the coast with sandy beach at Silecroft is 10 miles. Muncaster Castle and the spectacular Hardnott Pass are close by.
