Expert tuition is available and throughout the summer there are special fun days for children. Fly fishing for brown trout is popular on this well stocked lake. Dovedale (5 miles) is famed for its splendid scenery and riverside walks. Golf and riding are available within 6 miles. Ashbourne (5 miles) offers a good choice of shops restaurants and inns and Bakewell and Buxton are both within a pleasant scenic 30 minute drive.
