There is no accommodation on the ground floor. We do not have a lift or stair lift so all access to the accommodation is via the stairwells. The 1st floor is accessed by a return staircase comprising 11 steps to a half landing and then a further 6 steps to the main 1st floor landing then 10 steps to the next half landing and a further 10 steps to the 2nd floor landing. The stairwell is accessed through a 75cm opening and all staircases have a handrail on one or both sides and are wider than 100cm at all points. All landings are spacious, free from clutter and well lit. As the building is over 150 years old and has been continually refurbished and renovated throughout its history, all rooms differ from each other so if you require more information regarding specific rooms, please contact us directly so that we can understand your particular requirements in order that we can offer you our most suitable rooms.

This comprises of a 'Grab' hand rail by the toilet and also in the shower. A wheel chair user would be able to access the bar lounge but would need assistance to walk to the room as all room doors down the lower corridor are not wide enough. The gate swings open to the right leading to a graveled area. The front door is 8 feet away from the gate. There is one brass step up to the entrance vestibule. The exterior door width is 46” and the vestibule door is 30” wide. This leads to the wood hallway with the one ground floor bedroom (ensuite shower room with shower tray 4” high). The sitting room (door width 35”) leads through to the conservatory door (width 31”) one step down to tiled floor. All other bedrooms are on the first floor accessed by a long but shallow stepped stairway. Via the rear There is concrete up to two wide steps, then gravel along the rear of the house. The conservatory door is xx” wide, but on a tilt (a 150years of settlement) with a step on to the tiled floor. A pair of narrow 31” width doors lead through to the sitting room and kitchen.
