Balcary Mews commands stunning views of the bay
with Hestan Island to the fore and Galloway
Hills and Solway Coast beyond.
Furnished to a high standard, yet very
comfortable it is central heated and double
glazed throughout. All the beautifully
co-ordinated rooms have sea views, tea/coffee
making facilities, TV. We have a guests sitting
room which has spectacular panoramic frontage.
Patio doors open onto
the terrace and into a large, colourful
landscaped garden which guests are welcome to
enjoy. We offer friendly service and serve an
excellent multi choice breakfast, using mostly

Croys House is an
elegant Georgian House and lies in 35 acres of
parkland and gardens with well established
Topiary and Walled garden.
We rear rare breeds of sheep cattle and
pigs and also use Norwegian Fjord horses
and a Dales pony for carriage driving.
The house sits in an elevated position in the Urr
Valley well known for its trout, salmon and sea
trout fishing. Croys has many attractive south
facing rooms with original fine plaster work. The
dining room has French windows leading to the
sunken garden surrounded by Topiary. The grounds
and our stream are beautiful all year round. All
rooms are to a high standard (en-suite available)
all with TV, tea/coffee making facilities. Four
poster bed available. Non-smoking establishment.
Guests have remarked on our 5 star foods, produced
from our own garden and stock animals. Home-made
preserves, home produced meat and local produce
used whenever possible, a 3 course Silver Service
dinner served if required.
