Creebridge Lodge is a fine Victorian listed
house set in its own grounds. We're ideally
situated, being just a short walk from a wide
choice of evening meals, shops, riverside and
the golf course. The surrounding countryside is
rich in history and archaeology and offers some
of the loveliest yet least known scenery in
Scotland. From the rugged mountains of the
Southern Uplands to the gentle fields of the
Machars; from towering coastal cliffs teaming
with sea bird colonies to secluded sandy beaches
and bays. The variety of scenery is outstanding.
The area is justly famous for its birds and
wildlife and is a paradise for all those who
love fishing, walking, cycling or exploring the
many botanical gardens, castles, museums and
other visitor attractions. There are 32 golf
courses in Galloway, numerous salmon and trout
rivers, pony trekking and riding, sailing and
canoeing and hundreds of miles of spectacular
walking and cycling routes. We offer very
comfortable spacious en-suite rooms each of
which has a colour TV, hospitality tray, kettle,
clock radio and hairdryer. We operate a non
smoking policy throughout the Guest House.

Standing in eight acres of
landscaped grounds on the edge of Galloway
Forest Park, this historic country mansion
offers its guests individual attention and care
in surroundings reminiscent of a bygone age. The oak panelled lounge has
been sympathetically restored, and is hung with
beautiful oil paintings, with opulent drapes and
sumptuous sofas and armchairs. In addition,
morning coffee and afternoon tea can also be
taken in the Major's Lounge, named after Major
Armitage. All rooms are spacious, with a
generous sitting area, and easy chairs and
table. Fresh fruit and sherry await your
arrival, as well as tea and coffee. There is
satellite TV for your entertainment, while each
bathroom is luxuriously furnished with fluffy
bathrobes and towels. For guests with dogs, the
lower ground rooms are ideal, each with easy
access to the grounds. Of course there's more to
Kirroughtree than fine food - relax on the
terrace on a sunny day with a glass of chilled
wine and enjoy the spectacular views.
We offer bed and
Scottish breakfast in the lovely country setting
of New Luce. We are on the Southern Upland Way.
Excellent for walkers, touring, fishing, and
keen golfers. Ferry Port to Northern Ireland
nearby.
Tha Butchach is a one level
country residence suitable for the less able.
Ample car parking. All rooms are heated and
en-suite with shower facilities. We also have a
two bed roomed self catering flat, which sleeps
up to five people. This is not suitable for the
less able. Ideal for fishermen, golfers,
shooters, walkers and touring South West
Scotland. Continental breakfast on request.

Newton Stewart golf course which has unique
greens and subtle borrows.
Other places of interest
are the museum, the visitor centre in Galloway
