Nearby is the New Lanark heritage site which is an
award winning visitor centre, a beautifully
restored 18th century cotton mill village in
Southern Scotland, close to the Falls of Clyde.

history of New Lanark and Robert Owen as you walk
around the visitor centre you can imagine how
people lived and worked in Owens time. Every year
there is a wide variety of exciting events in the
visitor centre such as a video and art
installation of how to run a cotton mill and also
waterfall days. There is also an Edinburgh Woollen
Mill on site.
