Windgill Cottage is located on Birthwood Farm in
the high hills bordering Lanarkshire and
Peeblesshire. It is one of the most sought-after
cottages in the south of Scotland, tucked away
all on its own in glorious hill country. It is a
traditional stone-built, comfortably but simply
furnished, former shepherd's cottage. There is a
small bridge over a stream at the front and high
rounded green hills rising in tiers at its rear.
