1810, Corshill House has been carefully extended
to provide relaxed, spacious and comfortable
accommodation. A pretty sitting room with wood
burning stove and comfortable sofas, TV with
Freeview and DVD/ video player, which leads
through to the peaceful sun-room overlooking the
garden.
The
kitchen is well equipped with an electric range
stove, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer,
washing machine and drier. French windows open
onto the garden at the back where there is a

The
Smiddy and The Stables are two cottages which
nestle at the bottom of the gardens of the
adjacent Corshill House, giving privacy to
themselves and the main house. They are bright
and airy, offering a perfect base for the
smaller group to enjoy the many sights of the
local area. In each cottage, the kitchen is new
and well equipped. Most common utensils are
provided.
The
whole house is centrally heated, and there is
hot water available all day. The bedrooms in
both cottages are galleried, and you are able to
look over the main living area giving a very
"chalet" feel to your space. A stay in the
Smiddy or the Stables will be a comfortable and
rewarding one, with views to the hills and
woodland. You are in a building with history in
it, set in and area that saw a large part of
Scotland's history unfold around it. The

The Gled Cottage, Nr. Doune, Stirling.
This charming 17th Century cottage stands in its
own garden, facing south in the midst of
farmland with distant views to the Gargunnock
Hills. Nearby across the fields is Gartincaber
Tower that marks the very centre of Scotland on
the east-west axis! The Cottage sleeps 4/5 and
is all on one level; there are no stairs. Full

18th-century houses, with a 16th-century castle.

inside. We are surrounded by fields, woods and
orchards. It is peaceful here, and the landscape
is very beautiful. Watergate has all
