Allerton Park Caravan is
located near Knaresborough. A peaceful camping
and caravan park 0.5 miles east of the A1(M)
leading from the A59 York to Harrogate road. The
site can accommodate up to 30 touring caravans,
tents or motor homes.
Fully serviced pitches available for tourers.
Children's play area. Large recreational ground
for dogs or for children to play on. Lots of
traffic free country pathways. Laundrette.
Toilets and showers. There are also Log cabins
and Holiday Homes for those requiring self
catering accommodation. Comprehensively equipped
with bed linen and duvets included. New and
pre-owned Holiday Homes are available for
purchase. This is an ideal base for the York

In the heart of
picturesque Yorkshire midway between the ancient
cathedral city of Ripon and the Victorian spa
town of Harrogate in the small village of
Markington, the park is situated in a peaceful
garden setting behind the "Olde World" Yorkshire
Hussar Country Inn.
Our licensed park is set within five acres of
land, divided by hedgerows on the edge of "James
Herriot" country in the magnificent Yorkshire
Dales.
We have a secure area
for children to play in, with paddling pool and
climbing frame.
The site
is open from Easter/April to October. Our rental
caravans are all connected to water, drains and
electricity, have a gas fire, cooker, fridge,
electric kettle, toaster & colour TV, a bathroom
with toilet, washbasin & shower with hot and
cold water. There is a double bedroom, a twin
bedroom and a Sofa bed in the lounge of all
caravans. Our 6 berth caravans are let on a
weekly basis. Parking is available. Pets are
welcome.
Situated in the open
countryside of Hartwith, Cow Close Barn is a
newly converted stone barn accommodating for up
to 6 people.
Spacious and comfortable the barn provides
luxury accommodation.
The farmhouse-style kitchen on the ground floor
is very well equipped and has its own breakfast
area. Steps lead from the kitchen to the first
floor with its separate dining room and spacious
beamed living room. There are two double
bedrooms (one with en-suite) and one twin-bedded
room and a separate bathroom/WC with full size
bath and over-bath shower. All rooms on the
first floor have attractive pine floors and
ceilings. Facilities include: Colour television,
Video & DVD, Electric cooker, Microwave, Washing
machine, Tumble dryer, Dishwasher, Fridge and
freezer, Barbecue, Full size Snooker table,
