This fascinating village is an important centre for fishing, walking and

A collection of locks connects Loch Ness with the
60-mile Caledonian Canal, which links Fort William and Inverness. The locks
were designed by the engineer Thomas Telford. The village is home to the
Caledonian Canal Heritage Centre and The Clansman Centre.
