Fort Augustus (7 miles) is a most attractive village bisected by the Caledonian Canal and home to a fascinating flight of locks as well as restaurants shops and a golf course. The West Coast is also well worth a visit Eileen Donan Castle Plockton and Skye are all within easy reach. Clay pigeon shooting kayaking and even deer stalking are available locally and there is a good shop/post office and a pub serving food in Moriston 2 miles.
