The ruined 19th century castle has been partly
restored by a trust which has also runs the Museum of the Isles. A ferry
brings visitors from the mainland town of Mallaig. The Sleat peninsula also
boasts the ruined Dunscaith Castle, and the remains of Knock Castle. This
picturesque port lies on on the Sleat peninsula.
