traditional Bowland Farmhouse where many

Clitheroe is the nearest town with its bustling
market, Clitheroe lies in between the Forest of
Bowland AONB’s main upland block and the outliner
of Pendle Hill. The town retains much of its old
character and customs, and has a wide range of
shops, many of which have been run by the same
family for generations. A popular open-air market
is held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays other
nearby Towns include Longridge, Lancaster and
Preston

door to be in some of the finest walking country
in England. The Forest of Bowland is an
undiscovered gem for the walker. The Hodder Valley
has quiet country roads and riverside meadow paths
with spectacular hills providing a backdrop. Those
hills provide more challenging walking but the
rewards are fantastic.
