Both Tewit and Badger cottages are fully
equipped to a very high standard and boast
splendid views of Pendle Hill and Pen-y-Gent.
Tewit Cottage has a 42 inch flat screen with
surround sound and the bedrooms have TV's with
DVD. Parking available.
We are nearby Skipton
Castle which is over 900 years old, Skipton
Castle is one of the most complete and best
preserved medieval castles in England and is
well worth a visit whatever the season. Visitors
can explore every corner of this impressive
history-rich castle, which withstood a
three-year siege during the Civil War. View the
Banqueting Hall, the Kitchen, the Bedchamber and
Privy. Climb from the depths of the Dungeon to
the top storey of the Watch Tower.
Another famous landmark
is Clitheroe Castle, this Norman keep has
dominated the skyline of Clitheroe for more than
800 years. It was built around 1186 by Robert de
Lacy to protect the administrative centre of his
vast estates and is said to be the smallest keep
in England. The keep was deliberately damaged
after its capture by Parliamentary forces during
the civil war, but was repaired in 1848 with
smooth-faced limestone blocks, which can be
clearly seen. The views from the old castle
walls are breathtaking, as is the walk up the
