SAXILBY

A mediaeval village that expanded due the development of the railway in 1849. Today Saxilby is mainly a dormitory for Lincoln. Located by Foss Dyke, the oldest canal in England, and near to the border with Nottinghamshire. Originally constructed by the Romans around 120 AD.
