Moortown Lodge, originally built in Georgian times
as a hunting lodge is now a family home
run as a hotel and situated close to
Ringwood town centre.
The property
has had extensive renovations and been
completely refurbished and modernised to
the highest standards to ensure stays are
both comfortable and enjoyable.
The convenient location is an ideal stopover for

direct dial telephones available in each room) as
well as offering a tremendous choice of
attractions for the leisure visitor including

being on the ground floor and one is suitable for

With a long history
and originally built as 2 cottages - the Auld
Kennels is a comfortable thatched family cottage
that was later converted into a single thatched
cottage for private residence.
We aim to provide the "home from home"
accommodation.
Hearty breakfasts are served from locally
sourced ingredients and we have "4 Star Visit
Britain" rating.
Rooms are fitted with Pine furniture and Pine Beds Rooms
have colour TV, Tea and Coffee making facilities and
clock radios. The house is centrally heated with
individual adjustable radiators in both rooms have there
own lounge and conservatory / dinning room.
Ample Parking is available to all guests Centrally
located for outdoor pursuits such as walking, fishing,
horse riding, golf and sailing and set on a rise the
cottage has views over Moortown, the Meadows and the the
Hampshire Hatches and down to the River Avon. Only a
mile and a half from the New Forest There can be few
other places in England where the ancient landscape has
remained so unchanged. In 1079 when William The
Conqueror named the area his ‘new hunting forest’,
little could he imagine that nearly 1000 years later his
‘Nova Foresta’ would still retain its mystery and
romance. Larger amenities are to be found in
Bournemouth, Poole and Southampton, located eleven,
fourteen and eighteen miles away respectively. We pride
ourselves on the warm welcome that we extend to all our

Take time out to enjoy this traditional country hotel on the edge of the still largely unspoilt New Forest. The attractive restaurant and bar overlook a pretty courtyard and serve a fine selection of freshly prepared meals. Ringwood nearby, has always been known for its fine ales. Our 35 en-suite bedrooms have recently been fitted out with brand new deep pocket, sprung divan beds (April 2008) and a refurbishment programme of all bathrooms is due for completion early June 2008. The High Corner Inn has seven double rooms with en-suite bathrooms. All rooms have colour television plus tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms have recently been tastefully decorated and are maintained to the highest standard. Prices include a full English breakfast.
