Moortown Lodge, originally built in Georgian times
as a hunting lodge is now a family home
run as a hotel and situated close to
Ringwood town centre.

With a long history
and originally built as 2 cottages - the Auld
Kennels is a comfortable thatched family cottage
that was later converted into a single thatched
cottage for private residence.
We aim to provide the "home from home"
accommodation.
Hearty breakfasts are served from locally
sourced ingredients and we have "4 Star Visit
Britain" rating.

other places in England where the ancient landscape has
remained so unchanged. In 1079 when William The
Conqueror named the area his ‘new hunting forest’,
little could he imagine that nearly 1000 years later his
‘Nova Foresta’ would still retain its mystery and
romance. Larger amenities are to be found in
Bournemouth, Poole and Southampton, located eleven,
fourteen and eighteen miles away respectively. Special

residence, which has been tastefully decorated
throughout.
The gardens are for the
guests to enjoy and the bedrooms have freeview
television, tea/coffee making facilities. We
serve the traditional full English breakfast
served in our conservatory overlooking our
beautiful gardens. The area is a haven for the
outdoor enthusiast with excellent walking,
angling, fishing, cycling, and horse riding.
Days out include the National Motorway Museum,
and Exbury Garden. Bournemouth is only 15
minutes away.
The Homestead
is a 17th Century thatched cottage in
Ringwood, on the edge of the New Forest
(an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty).
The town centre, with its traditional
market, shops, pubs, and restaurants is
only 5 minutes walk away.
There are height restrictions in places so people
with limited mobility are advised to book the
downstairs bedroom, as the access to the upstairs
room is an original but uneven short wooden
staircase. There is a storage area for cyclists &
walkers, we have off street parking and guests
have the use of the back garden.
We serve a traditional full English Breakfast and
special diets can be catered for with prior
notice. Two double en-suite bedrooms, which are
well furnished and tastefully decorated with
