Georgian farmhouse located in over an acre of
gardens featuring lovely views over the
surrounding countryside.
Set in a conservation
area with complete peace and tranquillity, yet
near to Loddon Village, named 'Village of the
year 2005' for the whole of East Anglia...
...and came 6th in Channel 5's most picturesque
place to live in the UK. It really is worth a
visit, with its choice of pubs and restaurants,
plus a pretty marina where you can hire boats
for a day on the broads, the area is also
excellent for walkers, cyclists and wildlife
enthusiasts. The historic city of Norwich is
only 20 mins by car which has the best of "the
old and the new" with its cathedral and medieval
winding streets. There is also an excellent
choice of restaurants, museums and shopping. If
you fancy a day on the coast Great Yarmouth is
only 20 mins in the other direction. So as a bed
and breakfast base we are perfectly situated.
Our rooms are all en-suite and have DVD, TV and
tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and
an iron. We have been awarded the English
Tourism Councils 4 star award for our high
quality establishment and individuality.
Once a thriving port on the Norfolk Broads,
Loddon is home to the Church of Holy Trinity, built in 1492 by the wealthy
Hobart family. Sir James Hobart, lived in nearby Hales Hall, was Attorney
General to Henry VI. Loddon Water Mill Craft Centre stands on small bridge,
whilst Loddon House was once a lunatic asylum! Further attractions and
activities include properties that date from the 17th and 18th centuries,
lovely walks and picnic places.
