Situated in Tilton on
the Hill, just a short drive from Melton
Mowbray, Market Harborough, Oakham, Uppingham
and Leicester. 3 Halstead House Cottage is of
elegant ironstone construction with superb views
of up to 30 miles from a spacious garden. There
are two king-size double-bedded rooms, a twin
bedded room and a separate upstairs shower room,
washbasin and toilet. Sleeps 6 (plus 2 if sofa
bed is used). There is a village shop and
attractive local pub less than a mile away,
approximately 15 minutes walk.
The cottage is located on a
working farm, where there is a coarse fishing
lake which visitors can use by arrangement.
There are many good walks and at Rutland Water
(10 miles away) there is excellent trout fishing
as well as watersports, birdwatching and
cycling. Downstairs there is a large eating
kitchen, a dining room, sitting room with a sofa
bed and working open fire, hall and WC. Sheets
and towels are provided. Our prices are from
£495.00 per week. Shorter or longer stays are
also possible. We have a no smoking policy. Dogs
may be accommodated by arrangement. A deposit of
50% of the cost is required to secure your
booking. The balance, plus an additional
breakages deposit of £80.00 is due six weeks
before the rental period. The £80.00 will be
returned within 10 days of departure, minus any
deductions. Bookings run from Saturday to
Saturday. Arrival is after 2pm, and the property
must be vacated by 11 am on day of departure.
