This small coastal settlement, with Bamburgh
Castle and village green at it's heart, was once the home to the Kings of
Northumberland. Founded in 547, the Norman church in the village is also
worth investigating, as are a number of local pubs and shops. With it's long
beaches, breathtaking countryside and the Farne Islands nearby, there's
plenty to do and see in and around Bamburgh.
