Burradon Farm is a working farm of some 400 acres. At its heart lies the 14th century Pele Tower; the farm house and a fine range of traditional stone farm buildings. Most of the original farm buildings have been converted to create spacious; stylish and comfortable holiday cottages.
Situated in the southern portion of
Northumberland and a settlement for many centuries, Cramlington prospered
from the coal mining boom of the late nineteenth and early twentieth
centuries. The modern town grew in the 1960's and 70's, though the old
Anglican Church of St. Nicolas, built in the gothic style in 1868, still
remains. Cramlington Folk Fest, held as a single day event to celebrate the
new millennium was so successful its now held annually, as a three-day
weekend festival!
