Welcome to The
Poppy House, situated within the town of
Bishop’s Castle, not far from Ludlow, in
the heart of the beautiful Shropshire
hills.
The Poppy House
is well known in Bishop's Castle and the
surrounding area - it is a licensed café
and restaurant with en-suite
accommodation which has recently been
extensively refurbished.
We aim to create a warm and friendly atmosphere where you can relax and chill
out.
We have 2 double rooms with king size beds and 2 double/twin rooms which
both have 1 king & 1 single bed.
Adjoining The
Poppy House, overlooking the courtyard and
the longest remaining stretch of the old
castle wall is Bakehouse Cottage. It is
tastefully furnished and decorated and
fully carpeted. The cottage is not
suitable for people with movement
difficulties. Sorry - no pets or smoking

Foxholes Castle
Camping at Bishops Castle is a relaxed,
family-run rural campsite on a 28-acre small
holding, surrounded by glorious views of South
West Shropshire's beautiful hill country.
It is an ideal location for families,
couples, walkers, cyclists and
photographers, conveniently situated on the
Shropshire Way, connecting it with Bishop's
Castle.
Foxholes Castle Camping offers separate
areas for touring caravans, motor caravans
and tents.
These are on soft standing pitches. We are also
developing a comfortable bunkhouse for walkers
and long-distance cyclists. Our modern
facilities include a new toilet block, with free
showers. We also have chemical toilet disposal
points and a recycling point. Sorry, no electric
hook-ups at present. We stock home-grown
fruit and vegetables when in season.
Provisions are readily available in nearby
Bishop's Castle. 8-berth Static
Caravan also available for hire offering
spacious and comfortable accommodation with
stunning views of the Shropshire hills,
available for weekly and weekend lets.

simply wish to relax and watch the world go by in
the garden, Lake House Cottages provide an ideal

Tuc-Tin is a
VisitBritain 3 Star cosy little cottage offering
quality self catering accommodation.
Totally refurbished, the double bedroom was
fitted with solid oak floorboards and finished
to a very high standard, as well as getting the
log-fire place & chimney back into good working
order.
A perfect location in which to relax or venture
out for walks, fishing, cycle rides, horses
riding, bird-watching, or casually exploring
southern Shropshire. The Village has two pubs
with very good home-cooked food, two quaint Tea
Rooms, a butchers, a newsagents, gift shop and
art gallery. This unique accommodation is a
place not to be missed.
We have 3
well-equipped and comfortable cottages in the
grounds of a large Victorian house, close to the
market town of Bishop's Castle, the historic
Three Tuns Brewery and public house.
Claremont is ideally located for exploring
Shropshire, Herefordshire, and Mid Wales.
Not forgetting that the world famous Ironbridge,
Offa's Dyke, Longmynd, Stiperstones and Wenlock
Edge are a short drive away. Local activities
include fishing, gliding and horse riding.
Parking is available. Children Welcome. Pets by

Welsh border country - the "Blue Remembered
Hills" made famous by the poet Housman and the

compact, being ideal for a couple or a couple

from which access is obtained to the beamed and
vaulted lounge with TV and Radio/CD player.
