This cottage, set in the owner's grounds in Bishopswood, is just six miles from the nearby town of Chard. Located close to the border between Somerset and Devon, this property offers open-plan living accommodation on one level, as well as high beamed ceilings, traditional slate floors, an Aga-style cooker and a wood-burning stove. The property is only able to sleep two people, making it a wonderful romantic retreat or as an excellent self-catering alternative for a walker. Situated close to all local amenities and activities, this cottage is a perfect place to spend a holiday.

The West Dorset Heritage Coast lies 10 miles away offering superb walking with breathtaking views as well as opportunities for fossil hunting. The coastal towns and villages invite exploration pretty Lyme Regis with its famous Cobb Bridport with its lively street markets and the bustling waterfront at West Bay (once called Bridport Harbour) brimful of family fun and activities. Much of the West Dorset countryside setting for Thomas Hardy's celebrated novels such as 'Far from the Madding Crowd' and 'Tess of the d'Urbervilles' is an area of outstanding natural beauty dotted with picturesque villages many with welcoming country inns and home to numerous restaurants serving the excellent local cuisine.
