A superbly secluded traditional Welsh farmstead, with a pair of stone barn conversions which sleep 4 or 6 persons, situated close to the University Town of Lampeter and the Cambrian mountains. Situated in the beautiful Teifi Valley, the holiday cottages are 4 miles from Lampeter a busy, yet small and friendly, market town and home to the oldest university in Wales. During the summer months it hosts the famous Food Festival, Drovers Arts Festival, Carnival and the Rhys Thomas James Eisteddfod. 6 miles to the north lies Tregaron, and just beyond the Cors Caron National Nature Reserve.

The reserve is the best remaining example of an active raised bog in England and Wales, covering over 800 acres, and is refuge for a wide range of plants, insects, birds and mammals. Cors Caron is owned and managed by the Countryside Council for Wales. Visitors can access he Old Railway Walk and viewing tower at any time, but a permit is needed for other areas. Our self catering cottages offer character accommodation and are furnished and equipped to a high standard in the period style. We are well situated for a wide range of outdoor pursuits or for those seeking a relaxing weekend or a weeklong break amongst the Welsh hills and the Teifi valley.

This peaceful organic farm on Llanllwni Mountain overlooks the Teifi valley and wide open countryside beyond. The old stone buildings converted into spacious yet cosy beamed cottages offer a high standard of modern comfort yet retain their original atmosphere. This little piece of paradise unspoilt with abundant wildlife opens directly onto rolling moorlands offering opportunities for walking bird watching and horse riding. Children have the opportunity to enjoy taking part in 'pony fun days' (provided by a nearby riding stables either at the stables or at the manege at Cwmiar Farm – an extra charge applies) feeding horses and other animals around the farm. There is a play area for ball games and a playground with swings zip line sandpit seesaw and tree house.

Adults will find Cwmiar offers a wonderful setting for a relaxing holiday away from it all ideal for reunions and get-togethers at any time of the year and very well situated to enjoy a wealth of activities and sightseeing. Beautiful award winning sandy beaches sailing the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and miles of coastal paths for walking Cardigan Bay with its spectacular scenery and boat trips to spot seals and dolphins are all within just a short drive as are leisure centres indoor swimming pools golfing canoeing cycling quad biking coarse and fly fishing. Skiing and tobogganing can be enjoyed at Pembrey Country Park (20 miles). The National Botanic Gardens cheese chocolate bee and butterfly farms traditional arts and crafts historic goldmines castles and steam railways and amusement parks are all within easy driving distance.

A cosy pub which welcomes children and serves excellent food is a mile walk down the mountain track. Several other pubs and restaurants are close by. Llanybydder with inns supermarkets and chemist and famous for horse cattle and sheep auctions is 2 miles. away. Carmarthen with its shopping centre restaurants cinema theatre and golf course is just 13 miles away. Excellent boarding kennels locally. 


Sunset View Cottage
