Our cottages are beamed and have oak and ceramic
floors with underfloor heating through out. They
are decorated, furnished and equipped to a very
high standard. 3 night Short Breaks £255 - £300.
Our house dates back to
1651, and offers traditionally furnished,
en-suite shower rooms, hospitality tray and
television. Breakfast of fruits, yoghurts,
cereals, a cooked course of locally produced
bacon, sausages and eggs, tasty bread fresh or
toasted with home made preserves.
We have full stabling
facilities and a indoor arena should our guest's
want to bring their horse on holiday. Situated
east of Cambrian Mountains and close to the
River Severn. Ideal base for visiting Offa's
Dyke, Powis Castle, walking, bird watching,
lakes and mountains.
The boathouse sleeps up
to 6 people with 2 pets welcome free. We offer
free fly fishing exclusively to our guests on a
catch and release basis. There are many wild
brown trout in the lake. On the edge of our 3
acre former reservoir, the boathouse is
surrounded by 13 acres of SSSI woodlands,
beautiful natural gardens with lily ponds, 4
waterfalls, a weir and views of surrounding
fields with sheep and cows.
We are 3 miles from Newtown
in Powys, mid Wales, at the end of a mile long
lane in a quiet, private and secluded location.
The accommodation is double glazed and well
insulated with views of the lake from every
window. Lounge/diner with satellite TV, leather
corner sofas and dining suite for 6. Well
equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave,

lake, with free fly fishing. This is a perfect
peaceful lakeside setting surrounded by 13 acres
of woodland, waterfalls and gardens - a ’Site of
Special Scientific Interest’. We have superb
views from every window of the apartment and the
lounge has a large balcony with fantastic lake
views - paradise for bird watchers and a
wonderful place for relaxing and enjoying the
abundant wildlife.
Free fly fishing (catch and
release) on the private well-stocked trout lake
and the surrounding beautiful countryside of mid
Wales is a joy to discover either on foot, cycle
or by car. Local attractions include Newtown
nearby which is an historic market town with
shops, restaurants, pubs, a theatre and a
leisure centre. Other places you may want to
visit when here include Powis Castle and
Gardens, Dolforwyn Castle, Gregynog Hall &
Gardens (formerly owned by the David Davies
family of Llandinam), The Centre For Alternative
Technology, Clywedog Dam, Elan Valley Dams and
